As an International Agribusiness-Agriculture development specialist Johann has over 15 years of professional experience. His broad spectrum agricultural related experience includes: management, economic development, recovery and relief, field extension, research, crop protection / production programs (temperate/tropical) sales, marketing, and food processing. He also works in conflict and post conflict zones.
Business experience consists of strategic- and business planning; product development; marketing; technology improvements; sector assessment/surveys; organizational development, and trade and export promotions, form working in West Africa, and elsewhere.
He developed, conducted, assessed, evaluated, monitored and implemented strategies for ag-economic development, relief and recovery, product marketing, quality improvement, technical assistance, and training and extension programs. He creates, communicates and transfers knowledge under various settings, and works cooperatively with participatory approach among various stakeholders. He travels to remote (at times insecure) areas and collects first hand information for his works. Public relations, fund raising, financial business administration, and creation and presentation of educational material to farmers, politicians, researchers and international business personal are part of his schedule. His strong interpersonal problem solving skills and proven leadership are his keys to achieve preset targets.
He speaks fluent English and German, and communicates in Spanish and French. He is a Swiss Citizen and holds degrees in: Masters of Agribusiness (University of Florida, USA), Certificate of Tropical Agriculture, B.Sc. Agronomy and a Swiss National Tradesman Diploma in milk-food processing.
